The Director of Product Development, Talent Analytics is the responsible for overseeing all aspects of GrowthPlay's human capital analytics platform and products. In this role, the director will lead the design, development and implementation of products that leverage the existing talent analytics platform. The director will contribute to a variety of client facing projects by identifying problems, structuring tasks, leading and mentoring junior staff, and sharing technical expertise. They will be asked to establish effective client relationships to provide optimal client solutions and support marketing activities, including whitepapers, proposals, and capability briefings specifically focused on strategic talent analytics practices. Additionally, they will use new and established theories, approaches, and methods to solve complex problems and identify and apply appropriate research design techniques to collect, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data. The Director of Product Development will have the right combination of technical expertise in addition to the ability to make sense of the talent analytics insights by creative story telling.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • making improvements or modifications to current talent analytics products and deliverables
  • driving innovation around new products, including:
    • monitoring competitor approaches and offerings
    • partnering with client-facing team to gather and incorporate customer feedback into enhancements
    • identifying how to differentiate GrowthPlay's talent analytics products and offerings in the marketplace
    • researching feasibility in terms of profitability and resource availability
    • leading cross-functional teams of I/O psychologist, developers, and IT to execute on innovations
  • supporting client-facing projects by adding expertise and delivering business outcomes
  • telling a compelling verbal and visual story based on the analysis of large data sets to a broad range of audiences
  • liaising and communicating with sales, consulting, customer support, engineering, technical and/or production staff
  • keeping up-to-date with relevant scientific and technical developments and methodology to inform smart decisions
  • working within budgetary constraints

Required knowledge and experience

  • Master's degree or PhD in I/O, business, technology or related field
  • Minimum 10 years management consulting experience in the field of HR, Organization Effectiveness, Predictive Analytics or technology-enabled assessments
  • An analytical mindset and skillset as evidenced by ability to take a systematic approach to redesigning solutions
  • Experience using open source toolkits such as R and Shiny
  • A strong working knowledge of statistical analysis and reporting
  • Product development experience with proven ability to both improve and innovate
  • Ability to gain consensus amongst internal stakeholders
  • Current working knowledge of the compliance issues and nuances of using talent analytics internationally e.g. EEOC, Workers Councils, Data Privacy etc.
  • Previous experience with technology enablement of client solutions
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a small, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
