The Managing Director of Marketing is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing marketing and public relations strategy. The MD's primary responsibility is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.

In this role, you will be managing a team of both local and remote employees. The MD will work closely with the company's sales and product development leadership to ensure strategic alignment, and that our brand offerings and products are clear to the GrowthPlay buyer. The MD will collaborate on company-wide marketing, product development and PR standards and programs, and internal communications to build the GrowthPlay brand and drive revenue. This position is responsible both strategically and tactically for the planning and implementation of long and short-range programs, targeted toward existing and new markets. It is essential that the MD is on the cutting edge of trends within sales effectiveness/professional services industries.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Brand and Product Marketing

  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management
  • Deep understanding of changing market dynamics
  • Partner with practice leaders and subject matter experts in the creation and implementation of market and brand management plans to achieve corporate and practice objectives for products and services
  • Collaborate with practice leaders and subject matter experts to package products and services consistent with the GrowthPlay brands
  • Collaborate with Managing Director of Products to effectively market and position GrowthPlay's offerings
  • Capture and promote thought leadership to target markets
  • Develop and maintain marketing and sales materials to promote the GrowthPlay brands
  • Develop brand and product integration that aligns with GrowthPlay's M&A strategy
  • Establish, communicate and maintain a consistent corporate image and brand standards throughout the company
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities
  • Oversee technology enablement of marketing, product development and public relations programs
  • Oversee development and maintenance of company websites and social media accounts

Advertising, Public Relations and Digital Engagement

  • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic and social media
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
  • Works with media outlets to publish timely company information, such as press releases, brochures, articles, research studies and other materials
  • Develop and implement social media strategy including building and sustaining online communities
  • Produce and publish mass communications with email blasts and marketing campaigns
  • Collaborates with the People & Culture team to develop internal voice and communication strategies
  • Marketing technology Understanding and plans for the marketing technologies required for web site design and testing, nurturing digital engagement and lead generation

Team Management and Supervision

  • Develops and manages marketing budgets
  • Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management
  • Develop talent and capabilities of marketing professionals at the corporate level
  • Provides management and leadership to the Marketing team

Required knowledge and experience:

  • MBA from a premier institution with an emphasis in marketing highly desired
  • 10-15 years marketing and public relations experience; minimum of 7 years in leadership position
  • Proven marketing experience in a global role.
  • Proven record of leading marketing, PR, and internal communications strategy of a start-up business in acquisition mode, integrating brands into one go to market offering
  • Ability to be both strategic and tactical as the business requires
  • Product marketing experience
  • Previous experience with technology enablement of marketing and public relations strategies
  • Ability to facilitate and impact organizational change
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
